Commercial Pest Control in Lafayette
Evangeline Timber Defense — Commercial Pest Control services in Lafayette
Commercial pest control is a standing arrangement, not a one-time call. We set a schedule around your hours, your health inspections, and your foot traffic, and we keep a record of every visit because somebody besides you may ask to see it.
Which ones you get here
- Restaurants & food service: Treatment has to work around food handling and health department timelines, and we leave paperwork that holds up at inspection.
- Warehouses & distribution: The problem is usually what came in on a pallet, so we check loading docks and storage racks, not just the walls.
- Office buildings & retail: Work happens in shared common areas with tenants coming and going, so timing and access get coordinated, not just scheduled.
- Multi-family & property management: Activity in one unit is rarely isolated to it, so treatment has to account for shared walls and turnover between leases.
- Medical & care facilities: What we can use indoors is more limited given who's in the building, so the approach leans harder on sealing and monitoring.
What commercial pest control involves
- Facility walkthrough: We go through the building the way pests do — docks, drains, storage, the gap under the back door — not just the dining room or lobby.
- Exterior and exclusion work: Gaps, vents, and dock seals get addressed first, because a clean interior means nothing if the building keeps letting pests back in.
- Scheduled interior treatment: Visits are set on a recurring basis and timed to avoid service hours, prep times, or patient areas, depending on the building.
- Documentation left on site: Each visit gets logged — what was found, what was done — so there's a paper trail when an inspector or corporate office asks for one.
When you need it
- Staff or customers have started seeing something and mentioning it.
- A health inspection flagged activity or is coming up soon.
- Pests keep showing up in the same spot no matter who's cleaned it.
- A new tenant or lease renewal has raised the question of what's been treated and when.
What changes the job
Size and layout matter more than square footage alone. A single-story retail space with one entrance is a different job than a multi-tenant building with shared walls, a loading dock, and a kitchen on one end. Older buildings in the city turn up gaps and old patch jobs once you start looking; newer builds around places like Chalmette are tighter but still have service penetrations that were never sealed right the first time.
